This
sets feature railways in the United States, with locomotives, wagons and
multiple units that range from 1830 to 2010.
There are (or will be) different downloads to let the player choose. Each category is planned to be released with different liveries, so depot is not overcrowded with colour variations of the same engine that the player doesn't like, because s/he will download the railway company s/he prefers to be running through simuworld.
- US Steamers: Featuring a timeline of Main Line locomotives from 1830 to 1945, also some heavy Confederation engines, and at least 8 heavy mallets. This set will be released in various livery variations (Green, Black and Silver Nose...).
- US Steam Powered Streamlined Trainsets: Featuring trains composed of a streamlined steam engine with a matching set of tender and wagons. This will include just one livery variation.
- US Railway Co. : Featuring a determined Railway Company, this set will include a timeline of diesel and freight engines up to 2010, together with colour matching passenger and mail wagons. So far just Santa Fe has been made, but I will accept suggestions, and perhaps make a poll someday.
- US Railway Multiple Units : Featuring a full timeline of electric, diesel and turbine trainsets throughout the XX century.
- US AMTRAK: Featuring this company's engines, wagons and trainsets from
1970 to 2010, this download is a must, as it's high speed vehicles are not
featured in standard railway companies, that after 1970 just keep their
standard speed vehicles.
- US Commuter services: Featuring liveries of local companies that just provide this type of services. When your close distance commuters are overcrowding with people, you will really need that extra capacity provided by the double deckers.
- US Narrow Gauge: Featuring all those little side line vehicles like the Shay that will do wonders in remote regions of the map where freight is sparse, or where rough terrain is just too much for those ultra long train units. This vehicles are intended to run on tram tracks gauge, so a new track is included.
Unluckily, just a few sets are workable as heavy graphing and coding is needed in these projects, but downloads will be released progressively, so stay tuned!.
